AI & Art Theft

This is a video I specifically made on protecting your art on your Carrd… from crawlers and AI training, but there are some useful stuff at 2:46 about protecting your art in general

...I might make an updated version for Fourth Wall, but you kind of would do the same thing but with HTML code

Digital Art & Drawings

Fav Traditional Drawing Supplies

Art Softwares & Apps

Web Tools

Drawing Tablets (only if you need one)

....Uhhh idk I draw on an iPad with my finger and I've only liked using XP-Pen Artist 24 Pro (my fav honestly), but for better advice watch the video!

Online Art Community (OAC)

🛑CAUTION!⚠️

Most sites allow NSFW/suggestive content, especially with art sites you’re likely to get whiplash on the front page. I would not recommend this section to minors (look below in "In-Person Art Community"), but to be honest in-person is just more fun in general!

Online Safety & Critical Thinking

Online Lingo

A lot of online communities and fandoms (are a big part of a lot of OAC) in general have slang and acronymsEmojis are common too and in some communities people will even use text emojis.

In-Person Art Community

For Adults

Local meet-ups (whether at libraries, local art shops, with friends, church, etc) and conventions are great places to meet other artists. I've not been to many conventions, but some cons (especially furry cons) have their own art trade event, freebies tables, easy sign up artist alley, competitions, galleries, panels where you can learn about art or even draw with others, workshops, etc. However, most cons tend to be catered to adults even if parental supervision is required or it's marketed as family friends. A lot of times it's not the cons fault, but certain types of attendees that show up there.

For Kids & Teens

I would recommend joining a school club or doing extracurriculars like:

  • theater backstage/set design
  • robotics team as a graphic designer/marketing
  • volunteering to make craft handmade items for animal shelter or for humans in need
  • arts & crafts library events
  • doing arts with irl friends like chalking or something
